About me

I have worked with children and young people with social, emotional and behaviour support needs since 2001. I provide a needs-led service for children and young people at my practice in Edinburgh’s New Town. Work can be short-term or long-term and is led by the needs of each individual.

I believe in working collaboratively with each client using their unique and existing strengths to help them achieve their goals, increase their sense of well-being and develop resilience.

I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and have a Master Practitioner Diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and a Master’s Degree in positive approaches to challenging behaviour.

I have provided training and workshops for schools, parent groups and organisations on topics including: Understanding and Supporting Children with Anxiety; Dealing with Anger; Positive Behaviour Support; Autism; and Understanding and Supporting Girls with Autism in Scotland, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East. I have over 20 years experience working with children and young people with autism and this is a particular area of interest of mine.

An important part of my work is trying to work out what makes kids tick. With good rapport and motivation established, real tangible progress can be made.
