Emotional

All children and young people must cope with a range of emotions but, for some, feelings of anxiety, fear, anger and low mood can impact their daily life greatly. This can affect relationships, result in a lack of self-esteem, and lead to feelings of helplessness.

With the right help, children can learn effective strategies for coping with their emotions, overcoming anxiety and improving their overall sense of wellbeing. For many, identifying the link between thoughts, mood and behaviour is helpful. Patterns that lead to negative feelings can be worked through together and alternative strategies identified. This can result in a significant change in mood.

I believe in a collaborative approach, building on existing strengths to help children and young people to achieve their goals, increase their sense of well-being and develop resilience.
